Set your alarm automatically
Using ADT Smart Home you can tell your system to let you know if you’ve not set the alarm when you get a certain distance away from your home using Geo-Fences. That way you’ll never need to worry about forgetting.
Look like you’re in when you’re away
Through the ADT Smart Services Online Portal, set the time of day when lights are switched on and off, to give the appearance you’re home even when you’re not. Great when you’re away on holiday.
Know who’s in and out
Set your cameras to record when movement is detected by your motion sensors, then get alerted on your Smart Services app. You’ll soon know all’s ok at home – your child got home safely, your elderly parent is ok, or the cleaner has arrived.
Enjoy a warmer welcome
The ADT Smart Services app allows you to create ‘Geo-Fences’. This feature lets you set up an invisible perimeter around your home, the app will then use the location of your phone to recognise when you’re arriving or leaving home. That means you can set your app to remind you to turn on the lights or set the alarm when you get a certain distance from home.
Arrive home to light
It’s reassuring to come home to a house that’s lit up, especially in winter. A smart plug is a great home automation addition. You can use your smartphone to turn your lights on, or set them to come on the second your alarm is activated or deactivated. This means you and your family never have to enter a dark house – which is a great deterrent too.
Keep an eye on furry family members
Whether your pets are free to come and go, or they’re at home all day, you can easily keep an eye on them. That’s the beauty of using the ADT Smart Services app. Set the camera to take a picture every time your cat enters the cat flap into the kitchen, or begin recording every couple of hours to see what your dog is up to. If they hate being left in the dark, set your lighting to come on before night.
