What is my username for MyADT?
Your username will be the email you provided at the time you signed your contract. This is separate to the username for ADT Smart Services which is your contract, for those customers who use ADT Smart Services to manage the day-to-day operation of the alarm system.
How do I log into MyADT?
There are two ways you can access MyADT, either through our website portal or on our mobile app.

First time users will need to register using their email address and ADT contract details. This can be done by clicking ‘Register with us’ on the portal or app and then following the instructions when prompted.
What is the registration process and how long does it take?
At ADT, security is at the heart of what we do, and your data security is just as important to us as your home security. To ensure that we meet the most stringent of data security requirements, all new users must register first, this ensures only verified and permitted users have access to your ADT account and contract details. From start to finish the registration process usually takes 5-7 days.
Step-by-step guide to registering for ADT
- Click ‘Register with us’ either on the portal or app to start the registration process.
- Enter your personal details, email address and ADT contract number.
- Once submitted you’ll receive an email asking you to validate the email address you provided.
- As an additional security measure, we may send you a one-time passcode (OTP) to the postal address we hold on file. This can take up to 5 working days
- As soon as you receive your OTP, you’ll be prompted to complete the registration process via the registration page.
- After you’ve entered your OTP, you’ll be asked to create a password to log into MyADT.
What do I do if my login details don’t work?
If you know your username (usually your email address) click ‘forgot password’ and follow the instructions.
If you’re a new user, haven’t registered for MyADT, and don’t know your username, please click ‘Register with us’ either on the portal or app and follow the instructions.
Is the MyADT app compatible on all mobile devices?
Our app is compatible on IOS devices 13.4 or later and Android 8.00 or later.
Do I need special software to access the web portal on my PC or Mac?
No, you don’t need any special software on your PC or Mac. You only need a web browser e.g. Internet Explorer®, Google Chrome or Apple® Safari. To ensure the portal works smoothly, we advise using the latest version of your chosen browser.
Can I change my username to a different email address?
Yes, once you logged (with your original email address) you can submit a request to change this. For security reasons this will not be updated automatically, and you will have confirmed the change request is genuine and then verify. To change your email address:
- Click on your profile icon in the top right
- Click profile
- Click the pencil icon next to the current email address displayed
- Enter the new email address you wish to change it too.
- An email will be sent to your original email for you to acknowledge and confirm the change has been requested by yourself. You must click to confirm this to initiate the request.
- 24 hours later a email will them be sent to the new email address for you to verify. • It may take up to 12 hours to for the changes to be fully confirmed and applied to your account. Until you receive this confirmation email you should continue to use your initial email.
