He set off the security alarm! Over the years, we’ve had numerous reports of Santa activating ADT security systems. This year, we’ve introduced the Santa Update 1.0 – a nifty upgrade that can detect Christmas magic, so the big guy can deliver your presents without a hitch.
*Santa Update 1.0 is a little bit of festive fun.Your ADT alarm system will work as normal, no update required.
How it works
Our video doorbells, internal Wi-Fi cameras, and external security cameras already come with state-of-the-art technology that can identify the difference between a threat and non-threat, such as a passing car or pet. We’ve just programmed Christmas magic into that software.

1. Enable Alarm Santa Update 1.0 means you can set the alarm as usual on Christmas Eve, knowing Santa won’t be disturbed.
2. Nice Alert He's making a list and checking it twice. Our special ‘alarm’ works right up until Christmas Eve night. (You’re welcome.)
3. Santa Sensor Big red hat? Check. Long white beard? Check. Our new Santa Recognition Software makes sure the big guy can drop your pressies off in peace.
4. Rudolph Friendly Our cameras and video doorbells can already be fine-tuned to ignore smaller animals passing by. For one night only, they’ll ignore reindeer too.
