Set the Scene
With ADT Smart Home, tailor every aspect of your home security to different scenarios - we call them ‘Scenes’. These pre-sets give you the power to customise everything from lights to cameras, depending on the situation. Get email or push notifications if the alarm is activated, set cameras to record when motion is detected, or turn on lights at a certain time. Make the Rules
The best security systems don’t react, they anticipate. That’s why we introduced ‘Rules’. This popular feature lets you automate security depending on time or location. So, if the kids come home from school at the same time each day you can make sure lights are on to greet them and cameras register their safe arrival. Keep forgetting to set the alarm? Don’t worry, you can set up Geo-Fences to let you know you’ve not set the alarm if you travel a set distance from your home.
See what’s going on
One glance at your personal security history lets you know what happened and when. See who’s been at home, when they left, if a device was triggered or if someone made a change to your system. And with filters to help you search your history, you’ll never miss a thing.
Stream live and record
When one of your 1080p cameras is activated by an intruder, the footage is streamed directly to your phone and stored securely in the cloud so you can watch it later. The built-in motion detector also intelligently recognises the difference between animals, vehicles and humans - so you’ll always know what’s activated the camera.
Know when there's a problem
If there’s a fault with your system, your app will let you know in the ‘Troubles’ section. This means you can quickly sort the problem out and secure your home. And there’s often no need to wait for an engineer, most faults can be resolved remotely within minutes.

The Smart Home app gives you the ability to control all your connected devices at any time. You’ll also be able to name each device by room to make them easier to remember.
