Safest places to live in the UK, revealed
Buying a new home takes time, planning and research. But while property websites will tell you about the nearest train stations and schools, they won’t tell you the area’s crime statistics.
At ADT we want to make sure everyone across the nation feels safe moving into a new neighbourhood, that’s why we set up our crime in my area page. With information fed through from the police, you can find out the level and types of crimes recorded in your postcode. So, you can make the best decision to keep you and your family safe.
To save you some time, we’ve also pulled together a list of the safest places to live in the UK. These cities have the lowest recorded crime rates across the board*:
St. Asaph
Topping the charts is this quaint Welsh city. It’s the second smallest in the entire UK.
Chichester
Coming in second is the only cathedral city in the whole of West Sussex.
Bangor
Situated in Gwynedd, North Wales, Bangor is the country’s oldest city.
Wells
A cathedral city in the Mendip region of Somerset, on the southern edge of the Mendip hills.
Truro
This city in Cornwall is their centre of leisure, retail and administration.
St. David’s
The UK’s smallest city lands in the middle. They boast no traffic lights, boarded up shops or takeaways.
Ely
This city in Cambridgeshire is home to Oliver Cromwell’s house and an impressive cathedral.
Lancaster
This pretty cathedral city in the north west of England, is the northernmost place to make the list.
Hereford
Surrounded by countryside, this city sits just 16 miles east of the Welsh border.
Lichfield
A cathedral city in Staffordshire, close to Birmingham.
